THE PINTS: live in Kemaman

Since forming in the late Summer of ‘05, The Pints quickly established themselves as a cornerstone in Brisbanes PUNK ROCK N ROLL scene. Playing countless shows AUSTRALIA WIDE, The Pints have ravaged the country, slammin’ out their unique fusion of hardcore punk rock and ska. Although taking a humourous approach to it all, there is also a serious side to the band. In having fun we must address todays serious issues and problems. Live shows are frantic and funny, similar to a cat on speed. FAST, ENERGETIC, HUMOUROUS. The Pints have an arsenal of songs, having released 4 recordings to date now withe the release of LET GO. The Pints have supported great international acts such as DROPKICK MURPHYS, THE ADICTS, SICK OF IT ALL GUTTERMOUTH, LEFTOVER CRACK and ANTI NOWHERE LEAGUE + MORE. The Pints have nationwide distrobution and received world wide airplay, on both local and commercial radio stations. The Pints have also appeared in several independent DVD’s and online short films. The Pints first single, “ YOU CAN’T HUG YOUR CHILDREN WITH NUCLEAR ARMS” is currently SOLD OUT and the DEBUT ALBUM, “THE WHITE PLAGUE” SOLD OUT of its first pressing within 3 months. We are releasing a new EP entitled 'LET GO' in October which will showcase whats to come on the second album, “.Tackling and targeting social and political agendas with a dirty but humourous twist. We reserve the right to record, observe, educate, complain, abuse, attack and inform as many people as possible. We can’t let today slip past us like so many...WHY CAN’T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?so here they are..what are you wating for?

PEACE GIG 4: Sunday, 30 May 2010, Little Bali Cherating

KILL THE APPRENTICE
http://www.myspace.com/killtheapprentice
In the year 2005, Kill the Apprentice began their reign of mayhem upon the local South East QLD/Northern NSW live music scene with their own unique brand of Punk Rock'n'Roll. Always causing a stir at each and every party-inducing show they play....... The pace KTA set for themselves has seen some line-up changes over the years but 2009 saw the most solid line-up formed to-date.... Fronted by raging lead vocalist Kristy Wiesse, partnered with the unmistakable guitar tones of Sidney Constantine and grounded by the frenetic rhythm section of Diklich on bass and Tommy Creeper on drums...... Drawing on their influences of music absorbed as wasted youths growing up on a diet of pioneering punk rock'n'roll such as the Dead Kennedys, Suicidal Tendencies, Rancid, Bad Religion, The Clash, Patti Smith, PJ Harvey, Motorhead and NOFX without forgetting the rock'n'roll roots of Australia with bands like AC/DC, The Diviynls and Rose Tattoo. Kill the Apprentice punch out a sound that is true to their roots while being passionate, honest and full of energy. Something fresh, in a live music scene so drenched in waves of safe and mediocre de-tuned break-downs.

WHATEVER THAT MEANS
http://www.myspace.com/whateverthatmeansmusic

…Whatever That Means is a melodic punk rock band from Seoul, Korea. Honggu (drums) and Jeff (vocals/guitar) started the band with two other friends as a single-show project for Trash and Jeff’s Punk Rock Wedding Reception on February 28, 2009. After playing that first show, the decision was made to rearrange the lineup and make …WTM something more permanent. Trash entered on bass and a few months later Alex was added on lead guitar as the band’s final piece.

RADICAL PUNKS NEVER DIES!

FROM: http://blackhole212.wordpress.com/

hi all!
blackhole212 will be organising a benefit show for an anarchist gathering in medan that will happen on the 3rd to the 6th of june.
all proceeds will go to helping anti-authoritarian locals in indonesia make it to the gathering. as some of them live very far from the event venue (it will be near the mountains in medan), and cannot afford transportation due to the intense poverty there, we are doing our part to try to send some money over to help as many people as we can make it.

the show will be on wednesday the 19th of may.

also, those interested in heading up for the event can also contact us and we’ll go over as a lioncitydiy/blackhole212 collective! it will a camping event, but for those who don’t have tents there will also be a hall to sleep in. there will be talks, discussion, workshops and a communal kitchen (!!!). so far, there are collectives from taiwan and philippines that have contacted the organizers and are heading over, so it would be a great opportunity to meet new people and make new friends in a borderless community.

we have been advised by the organisers not to post too much info on message boards/forums/chain mail (for obvious reasons), but those who want more info can contact us via email/phone, or directly to the organisers at antiotoritarian2010@gmail.com.

the event is still open to workshop/activity ideas, so we’re really excited to be a part of this!

also, for those of you who cannot make it, we also need sound people to take over the sound system for the week of 1st to the 6th of june @ blackhole. please contact us if you’d like to help out in that way! there’s still time to learn the ropes (it’s quite easy!) and get yourself more involved in our community space!

hope to her from you guys soon!!

xoxo
